Possible Causes
Partially blocked burner or injector, Low gas pressure to Weishaupt unit, Faulty gas valve modulation, Scaled primary or plate heat exchanger
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Gas and combustion work must be done by qualified personnel.
- Check user settings: Confirm the DHW temperature setpoint is high enough and that any eco or power-saving mode is not limiting output.
- Reduce flow: Test with a single hot tap at moderate flow. If temperature improves, the heater may be undersized or restricted.
- Gas supply check: Ensure the gas shut-off valve is fully open and that other gas appliances do not cause pressure drops. A gas fitter should measure dynamic gas pressure at the Weishaupt inlet.
- Heat exchanger descaling: If the unit is in a hard water area, the plate or primary heat exchanger may be scaled. A technician can perform chemical descaling to restore performance.
