How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF power at the breaker.

Airflow checks:

Remove and clean the air filter thoroughly with water and mild detergent. Allow to dry completely before reinstalling.
Inspect the intake and discharge grilles for obstructions (boxes, insulation, dust buildup).

Fan checks:

Remove the upper cover to access the evaporator fan assembly.
Check that the fan spins freely by hand and is not rubbing on housing.
Inspect wiring harness to the fan motor for damage or loose connectors.
If you are qualified, restore power and check for voltage at the fan motor when the unit calls for heat pump operation. If voltage is present but the fan does not run, the motor is defective.
