Possible Causes

Stuck turbine in flow meter, Failed flow sensor, Disconnected or damaged sensor cable, Incorrect plumbing bypassing the meter

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Close inlet/outlet valves and depressurize before removing the flow meter.

  • Confirm plumbing: Verify that the house water is routed through the AFWFilters softener correctly and not bypassing the flow meter.
  • Inspect flow meter: Remove the flow meter from the control valve. Check that the turbine spins freely when blown on or moved with a small tool. Clean out any debris or iron buildup.
  • Check wiring: Inspect the sensor cable for cuts, abrasions, or loose connectors. Reseat the connector at the control board.
  • Test after cleaning: Reinstall the flow meter, restore water, and run a faucet. The display should now show flow. If not, replace the flow meter assembly.
