How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Place the unit in BYPASS and depressurize before removing the control valve.

  • Confirm source: Dry the area and watch for new water. Determine if the leak is from the tank neck, sidewall, or plumbing above.
  • Check tank O-ring: Remove the control valve from the tank and inspect the large tank O-ring. Replace if flattened or damaged. Clean the tank neck and valve threads before reinstalling.
  • Inspect tank and distributor: Look for cracks in the tank neck and inspect the top of the distributor tube for splits. Replace any cracked components.
  • Replace tank if needed: If the tank wall is cracked or leaking, replace the mineral tank and transfer resin and internals as appropriate.
