Possible Causes
Salt bridge in brine tank, Blocked brine line or injector, Regeneration never triggered due to meter fault, Brine valve stuck closed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the valve head. Wear gloves when handling salt.
- 1. Break salt bridge: Probe the salt bed with a plastic rod to ensure salt is in contact with water and not suspended above it.
- 2. Confirm regenerations occur: Check the Amfa4000 history or observe whether the unit actually cycles at night. If not, investigate meter and timer settings.
- 3. Clean injector and brine line: Follow the injector cleaning steps described for brine suction faults.
- 4. Run manual regeneration: Start a manual cycle and watch the brine level. It should drop during brine draw. If it does not, the brine valve or injector is still restricted.
If salt is still not being used after these steps, the brine system components may need replacement.
