Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure hands are dry when working near electrical components. Disconnect power before removing covers.
- 1. Reprogram time and settings: Using the Amfa4000 control panel, set the correct time of day, regeneration time, and water hardness according to the installation manual. Save the settings and observe if E06 clears.
- 2. Check for frequent power interruptions: If the unit is on a switched outlet that is often turned off, move it to a permanent supply so the clock is not repeatedly reset.
- 3. Inspect the PCB for backup components: With power off and cover removed, look for a small coin-cell battery or supercapacitor on the Amfa4000 control board. If visibly leaking or corroded, the board may need replacement.
- 4. Perform a factory reset: If available in the Amfa4000 menu, perform a factory reset and then re-enter all configuration parameters.
If E06 persists and the clock will not hold time between brief power interruptions, the control board's RTC circuit is likely faulty and the board should be replaced.
