E07 error and the Amfa4000 reports high salt usage or frequent regenerations

Safety first: Use dry hands at the control panel. No internal water components need to be opened for basic checks.

• 1. Verify hardness setting: Compare the programmed hardness on the Amfa4000 display with your actual water hardness (from a test kit or supplier data). Adjust to the correct value.
• 2. Check meter type and resin volume: In the installer menu, confirm the correct resin tank size and meter type are selected for your Amfa4000 model.
• 3. Inspect flow sensor connection: Remove the control cover and ensure the flow sensor plug is secure. Intermittent connection can cause false high usage readings.
• 4. Reset usage data: Clear the accumulated usage or perform a soft reset if the menu allows, then monitor regeneration frequency over several days.

If E07 continues and regenerations are clearly too frequent despite correct settings, the flow sensor or control board may be misreading flow and should be tested or replaced.
