Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power immediately. Shut off inlet and outlet valves and place the unit in bypass. Water on the floor can be a slip hazard.
- 1. Inspect the base tray: Remove the front cover and check for standing water around the leak sensor. Mop up all water and dry the area.
- 2. Identify the leak source: With the unit still isolated, visually inspect all unions, the valve head O-ring, resin tank, and brine lines for signs of drips or salt deposits.
- 3. Tighten fittings: Gently tighten any loose union nuts or hose clamps. Do not overtighten plastic fittings.
- 4. Test under pressure: Slowly open the inlet valve while watching for leaks. If none appear, open the outlet and monitor for several minutes.
- 5. Reset leak sensor: Once fully dry and leak-free, reset the E18 alarm via the control panel.
If a crack in the resin tank or valve body is found, the affected component must be replaced before returning the Amfa4000 to service.
