Possible Causes
Worn brine valve plunger in Amfa4000 head, Swollen seals from chemical contamination, Debris lodged in brine valve seat, Broken brine valve spring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate water and power. Expect salty water when opening the valve head.
- 1. Access brine valve assembly: Remove the control head cover and locate the brine valve module as per the Amfa4000 service diagram.
- 2. Disassemble and inspect: Carefully remove the brine valve plunger, spring, and seals. Check for wear, deformation, or debris.
- 3. Clean components: Rinse all parts in clean water and wipe away any sludge or scale. Do not use harsh chemicals that could damage seals.
- 4. Replace worn parts: If seals are swollen or the spring is weak or broken, install a new Amfa4000 brine valve kit.
- 5. Reassemble and test: Refit the assembly, restore water and power, and run a manual regeneration to confirm proper brine draw and refill without errors.
If E19 persists, a full seal and spacer kit or complete valve head replacement may be necessary.
