Possible Causes

Damaged main tank-to-valve O-ring, Cracked valve head body, Over-tightened plumbing stressing the head, Debris on sealing surfaces

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power, close inlet and outlet valves, and relieve pressure by opening a downstream tap. Water may spill when removing the valve head.

  • 1. Dry and inspect: Wipe the area dry and observe where water reappears to confirm the leak source.
  • 2. Remove valve head: Follow Amfa4000 service instructions to unclamp or unscrew the valve head from the resin tank.
  • 3. Inspect O-ring and tank neck: Check the large O-ring for nicks, flattening, or chemical damage. Clean the tank neck and valve base.
  • 4. Replace O-ring: Install a new Amfa4000 tank O-ring, lightly lubricated with silicone grease approved for potable water.
  • 5. Reassemble and test: Refit the valve head, restore water slowly, and check for leaks.

If the valve body itself is cracked, replace the entire valve head assembly.
