How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the brine tank from service.
Clean the brine tank:
- Use up or remove remaining salt.
- Scoop out the mushy salt and sludge from the bottom.
- Rinse the tank thoroughly with warm water and scrub if needed.
- Reinstall the brine well and float assembly, ensuring all parts are clean and moving freely.
Refill with proper salt:
- Use high-purity pellet salt and avoid mixing different salt types.
Regularly inspect and clean the brine tank (every 1–2 years) to prevent recurrence.
