Possible Causes
Corrupted control program, Faulty control PCB, Power interruption during regeneration, Incorrect parameter settings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Switch off power at the outlet or breaker before opening the control housing.
- Check power stability: Ensure the softener is on a stable power circuit without frequent outages. Avoid using long extension cords.
- Reset controller: Perform a soft reset by disconnecting power for 5–10 minutes, then reconnecting. Re-enter time, hardness, and capacity settings as per Aqmos instructions.
- Verify settings: Confirm that regeneration time, hardness, and resin volume are correctly programmed. Incorrect values can cause abnormal cycle behavior.
- Inspect PCB: Remove the control cover and visually inspect the PCB for burnt components, corrosion, or moisture. Dry any condensation and correct sources of leaks before reassembly.
- Test full regeneration: Start a manual regeneration and monitor each stage. If E06 recurs at the same step, the control board is likely defective and should be replaced.
