Possible Causes
Failed temperature sensor on control board, Installation in excessively hot location, Poor ventilation around control head, Loose sensor connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control cover.
- Check installation environment: Ensure the Aqmos softener is not installed in direct sunlight, near boilers, or in a confined unventilated space exceeding the specified temperature range.
- Improve ventilation: Provide airflow around the control head by clearing stored items and ensuring vents are not blocked.
- Inspect sensor connection: Open the control housing and locate the temperature sensor (often a small thermistor on or near the PCB). Confirm its connector is secure.
- Test sensor: Measure resistance of the thermistor at room temperature and compare with Aqmos specifications. A shorted or open sensor must be replaced.
- Replace PCB if needed: If the sensor is integrated into the PCB and faulty, the entire control board may require replacement.
