E17 error and unit indicates brine overflow risk

Safety: Unplug the unit. Wear gloves; brine is corrosive. Prevent overflow from damaging surrounding areas.

• Check brine level: If the brine tank is near the top, manually bail out excess brine into a suitable container and dispose of according to local regulations.
• Inspect safety float: Remove the brine well cover and ensure the float moves freely up and down. Clean any salt buildup and verify the float valve closes properly.
• Check drain line: Ensure the brine drain hose is not kinked, blocked, or routed above the maximum recommended height. Clear any obstructions.
• Test refill valve: With water briefly turned on and the unit in refill stage, observe whether water continues to enter the brine tank after the programmed time. A valve that does not close must be replaced.
• Reset error: After correcting the cause and normalizing brine level, clear the error and monitor the next regeneration for proper fill and drain behavior.
