Aqmos Bypass Misconfiguration

Softener installed but water remains hard because unit is in bypass

Possible Causes

Bypass valve left in bypass after installation or service, Incorrect plumbing connections, Misunderstanding of bypass handle positions

Safety: Confirm which valves control the softener before adjusting.

Check bypass position: Locate the Aqmos bypass assembly and verify handle positions against the label or manual. Set to service mode.
Verify plumbing: Ensure inlet and outlet pipes are connected to the correct ports on the valve head.
Test hardness: After switching to service, run water for several minutes and test hardness again.
