Possible Causes

Incorrect hardness setting on Aqua Dial controller, Incorrect capacity or salt setting, Misconfigured regeneration time or day override, Corrupted user settings

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: No internal electrical work is required for this fault, but do not open the valve head while powered.

  • Review installation data: Check your water hardness (from test kit or supplier) and the model's capacity from the Aqua Dial manual.
  • Enter programming mode: Follow the user manual to access the installer or programming menu.
  • Correct hardness and capacity: Set the hardness value (°dH, °fH, or ppm as appropriate) and resin capacity according to the manual. Ensure the salt setting matches your brine setting (e.g., standard or high efficiency).
  • Check regeneration time: Confirm the regeneration start time is set to a low-demand period (e.g., 2:00 AM) and that day override is appropriate for your usage.
  • Save and exit: Store the settings and allow the unit to operate normally. Monitor for a few days to ensure regeneration frequency is correct.
