Possible Causes
Faulty start switch or microswitch on cam, Defective control board output to motor, Incorrect clock/time setting, Flow meter not registering usage causing no trigger
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control cover. Use bypass valves if you need to maintain water supply while diagnosing.
- Check time and programming: Ensure the current time and regeneration time are set correctly. If the clock is wrong, the unit may appear not to regenerate.
- Force manual regeneration: Use the front panel button to start a manual regeneration. If it will not start, the start switch or control output may be faulty.
- Inspect cam microswitch: Remove the control cover and locate the microswitch that detects cam position. Check that the actuator is correctly aligned with the cam and that the switch clicks when pressed.
- Test wiring: Ensure the microswitch wires are firmly connected to the control board and not damaged.
- Replace faulty components: If the microswitch does not operate or the board does not send power to the motor, replace the microswitch or the Aqua Dial control board as required.
