Possible Causes
Actual plumbing leak downstream of Aqua Dial softener, Stuck-open tap or appliance, Faulty flow sensor reading constant flow, Incorrect leak alarm threshold setting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If a leak is suspected, turn off the main water supply and inspect for visible water damage immediately.
- Check for running water: Ensure all taps, toilets, and appliances are off. If the flow indicator still shows movement, there may be a hidden leak.
- Inspect visible pipework: Look around the softener and downstream plumbing for drips or pooling water.
- Verify sensor operation: If no leak is found, the flow sensor may be faulty. Refer to the flow meter checks under E05.
- Adjust settings: On models with configurable leak thresholds, ensure the alarm level is appropriate for your household usage.
- Contact a plumber: If you cannot locate the leak but the alarm persists, engage a qualified plumber to perform a pressure test and leak search.
