Softener emits a constant humming or buzzing from the control head

Safety first: Unplug the unit before touching the transformer or motor.

• Identify source: Place a hand lightly on the transformer and then the valve head to feel where the vibration is strongest.
• Check for jammed motor: If the motor hums but the cam does not move, follow the E03 steps to inspect for a jam.
• Secure transformer: Ensure the transformer is firmly mounted and not rattling against a wall or shelf.
• Isolate vibrations: Add rubber pads or mounts between the softener and mounting surface to reduce resonance.
• Replace noisy transformer: If the transformer itself buzzes loudly, replace it with the correct Aqua Dial part.
