Possible Causes
Failed O-rings between Aqua Dial valve and tank, Cracked valve body, Loose plumbing connections, Damaged bypass O-rings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the inlet valve and place the unit in bypass. Depressurise by opening a downstream tap. Disconnect power.
- Identify leak source: Dry the area and observe where water reappears: at the tank/valve joint, plumbing unions, or bypass.
- Tighten fittings: Gently tighten any loose unions or clips. Do not overtighten plastic fittings.
- Inspect O-rings: If leaking at the tank/valve interface or bypass, remove the valve or bypass assembly and inspect O-rings for cuts or flattening. Replace with Aqua Dial O-ring kits.
- Check for cracks: If the valve body or bypass housing is cracked, replace the entire assembly.
- Repressurise slowly: After reassembly, open valves slowly while checking for leaks.
