Possible Causes
Seized Aqua Dial bypass valve, Broken bypass handle, Internal O-ring swelling or debris, Incorrect installation torque
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off water before attempting to remove or service the bypass. Expect some water spillage.
- Do not force handle: Excessive force can crack the bypass body.
- Relieve pressure: Open a downstream tap to relieve pressure, then try moving the bypass handle again.
- Inspect for debris: If removable, take out the bypass assembly and check for debris or damaged O-rings.
- Lubricate O-rings: Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to O-rings before reassembly.
- Replace bypass: If the valve is cracked or seized beyond repair, install a new Aqua Dial bypass assembly.
