Possible Causes
Blocked refill orifice, Stuck brine refill valve, Controller not energizing refill stage, Low inlet pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close valves before disassembly.
- Check water level: After a full regeneration, the brine tank should have a specific water level. If it is dry, the refill system is not working.
- Inspect refill valve: Access the brine refill valve in the Aquabion control head. Clean any debris and verify that the small refill orifice is not blocked.
- Verify controller output: During the refill stage, check if the valve is being energized (you may hear a click or feel vibration). If not, the main control board may have a failed output.
- Manual fill: As a temporary measure, manually add the correct amount of water to the brine tank to maintain softening until repairs are completed.
Warning: Do not overshoot the recommended water level; too much water reduces brine concentration.
