Possible Causes
Valve drive motor failure, Stripped gears, Controller not advancing cycle, Obstruction in valve preventing rotation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power, close inlet/outlet valves, and relieve pressure.
- Manually move valve to service: If your Aquabion model allows, use the manual override or service tool to rotate the valve cam back to the service position to restore water temporarily.
- Inspect motor and gears: Remove the control head cover and check the valve drive motor and gear train for damage. Replace worn gears or a failed motor.
- Controller check: If mechanical parts are intact, the main control board may not be advancing the cycle correctly and may need replacement.
Warning: Do not force the valve to turn with tools; this can crack the valve body.
