Automatic Regeneration Scheduling Failure
Aquabion softener will not start a regeneration cycle automatically, but manual regeneration works.

Possible Causes
Incorrect time or day settings, Regeneration mode disabled, Flow meter not registering usage, Faulty real-time clock on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure stable power to the controller before troubleshooting scheduling issues.
- Verify time and date: Check that the current time and, if applicable, day of week are correctly set in the Aquabion controller.
- Check regeneration mode: Ensure the unit is set to metered/volume or time clock mode as desired, and that regeneration is not disabled.
- Monitor flow readings: Use the controller diagnostics to confirm that the flow sensor is counting water usage. If not, clean or replace the turbine flow sensor.
- Controller replacement: If the clock does not advance or scheduled regenerations never occur despite correct settings, the main control board may need replacement.
Warning: Until automatic regeneration is restored, manually initiate regenerations to prevent hard water.
