Possible Causes
Continuous leak downstream, Stuck-open faucet or toilet, Faulty flow sensor calibration, Control board miscounting pulses
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal electrical work is required for basic leak checks. Use caution when inspecting plumbing.
Steps:
- Check for leaks: Turn off all water-using fixtures and appliances. Observe the AquaClean display; if it still shows flow, there is likely a hidden leak.
- Inspect toilets and faucets: Check for running toilets, dripping faucets, or outdoor spigots left on.
- Bypass test: Place the softener in bypass. If the house leak indicator (if present) still shows flow, the leak is in house plumbing, not the softener.
- Flow sensor check: If no leaks are found, inspect and clean the flow sensor turbine as described for E04.
- Reset usage: Clear the error and reset usage counters in the control menu.
If E10 recurs without any actual leaks and the sensor is clean, the AquaClean flow sensor or main control board may require replacement.
