E16 error and the unit indicates a problem with the brine tank overflow or safety float.

Safety: Unplug the unit and wear gloves when working inside the brine tank.

Steps:

• Inspect float assembly: Locate the AquaClean brine safety float in the brine well. Ensure it moves freely up and down.
• Clean float chamber: Remove the float assembly and clean out any salt sludge or debris from the brine well.
• Check wiring: If the float has an electrical switch, verify the wiring is intact and connected to the control board.
• Test switch: Use a multimeter to test continuity of the float switch as you move it between up and down positions.

Replace the AquaClean brine safety float assembly if it is stuck, damaged, or the switch fails continuity tests.
