Softener display is on but buttons respond slowly or intermittently.

Safety: Unplug the unit before opening the control housing.

Steps:

• Dry panel: Wipe any condensation or splashes from the AquaClean control panel and allow it to dry.
• Check cable: Reseat the ribbon cable between the keypad and main board.
• Test buttons: Enter the diagnostic or test mode (if available) to check each button's response.

If certain keys remain unreliable, replace the AquaClean user interface / keypad assembly.
