Possible Causes

Clogged injector, Salt bridge preventing brine formation, Blocked brine line, Stuck brine valve

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit and close the inlet valve before working on the brine system.

Steps:

  • Check for salt bridge: Push a broom handle down into the salt. If you feel a hollow space under a hard crust, break up the bridge so salt can contact water.
  • Inspect brine line: Ensure the brine line from the tank to the AquaClean valve head is not kinked or blocked.
  • Clean injector: Remove and clean the injector/nozzle and venturi assembly to remove iron or sediment.
  • Manual brine draw test: Start a manual regeneration and observe the brine level. It should drop during brine draw. If not, the brine valve or injector is still restricted.

If brine is still not drawn after cleaning and clearing, replace the AquaClean brine valve assembly or injector kit.
