Possible Causes

Failed valve motor, Jammed rotor disc, Broken cam gear, Control board not advancing cycle

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Immediately place the unit in bypass or close the inlet valve to stop water waste. Unplug the unit.

Steps:

  • Bypass to restore water: Put the AquaClean bypass in bypass mode so the home has water while you troubleshoot.
  • Inspect motor and cam: Remove the control cover and check if the motor is engaged with the cam/rotor. Look for broken gears or obstructions.
  • Manual advance: Some AquaClean valves allow manual rotation of the cam to the service position. Do this carefully to stop drain flow.
  • Test motor: With power restored briefly, see if the motor attempts to turn. If not, test its resistance and replace if open.

If the motor and cam are intact but the control does not advance cycles, the AquaClean main control board may be defective.
