Possible Causes
Unplugged power adapter, Tripped breaker, Failed power transformer, Loose low-voltage connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Use caution when working with electrical outlets. Do not open sealed transformers.
Steps:
- Check outlet: Confirm the outlet has power by plugging in another device.
- Inspect adapter: Ensure the AquaClean power adapter is firmly plugged into both the outlet and the control head.
- Check breaker: Reset any tripped circuit breaker or GFCI feeding the softener.
- Test transformer output: With a multimeter, measure the low-voltage output of the transformer. If zero, replace the transformer.
If the transformer outputs correct voltage but the control remains dead, the AquaClean main control board is likely faulty.
