Possible Causes
Loose valve head, Damaged tank O-ring, Cracked valve body, Overpressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and close the inlet valve. Depressurize by opening a downstream faucet.
Steps:
- Inspect leak source: Dry the area and observe where water first appears: at the tank/valve joint, fittings, or cracks.
- Tighten head: If the AquaClean valve head is threaded onto the tank, gently tighten it by hand. Do not overtighten.
- Replace O-ring: Remove the valve head, inspect the large tank O-ring for nicks or flattening, and replace if damaged. Lubricate with silicone grease.
- Check for cracks: If the valve body or tank neck is cracked, the component must be replaced.
After reassembly, slowly restore water and check for leaks under pressure.
