Display shows E02 and the unit fails to draw brine during regeneration.

Safety first: Disconnect power to the AquaHouse softener. Close the bypass valves to isolate the unit and relieve pressure by opening a nearby faucet.

Step-by-step:

• 1. Inspect brine line: Follow the clear or opaque brine tube from the AquaHouse control valve to the brine tank. Check for kinks, sharp bends, or visible cracks. Reseat push-fit or compression fittings firmly.
• 2. Check for air leaks: Ensure the brine line is fully inserted into the brine well fitting and the control valve port. Replace any hardened or split tubing.
• 3. Clean the venturi/injector: On most AquaHouse heads, remove the injector cover (usually held by 2–4 screws). Carefully pull out the injector nozzle and throat, plus any small screens. Soak parts in warm water with a little vinegar, scrub mineral deposits with a soft brush, rinse thoroughly, and reinstall in the same orientation.
• 4. Verify brine level: Open the brine tank lid. The salt should be above the water level, and there should be some water in the bottom. If the tank is completely dry, add 2–3 gallons of water to prime.
• 5. Run a manual regeneration: Return the bypass to SERVICE, restore power, and start a manual regen. Watch the brine line during the brine draw stage—there should be a steady flow of brine toward the valve.

If E02 persists, the internal brine valve assembly or the AquaHouse control valve body may need replacement.
