Display shows 'CF' or 'Clean Filter' and flow is reduced through the softener

Safety first: Turn off water to the Aquasana system and relieve pressure by opening a downstream faucet before opening any filter housings.

Steps to address CF (clean filter):

• 1. Identify pre-filters: Locate the Aquasana sediment and/or carbon pre-filter housings installed before the softener.
• 2. Shut off and depressurize: Close inlet and outlet valves, then open a faucet to relieve pressure.
• 3. Replace cartridges: Unscrew the filter housings using the Aquasana filter wrench. Remove old cartridges, clean the housings with mild soap, and install new Aquasana-compatible cartridges. Lubricate O-rings with silicone grease and ensure they are seated.
• 4. Restore water slowly: Close the faucet, open valves slowly, and check for leaks.
• 5. Reset reminder: Follow the Aquasana control instructions to reset the filter change indicator.
