How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Close inlet and outlet valves and relieve pressure before servicing the bypass.
- Exercise bypass: Gently move the AquaSoft bypass between service and bypass several times to free it up. Do not force it.
- Inspect for leaks: If water leaks from the bypass stem or body, remove the bypass assembly according to the manual.
- Clean and lubricate: Disassemble the bypass, clean mineral deposits, and replace O-rings. Lubricate with silicone grease approved for potable water.
- Replace bypass: If the housing is cracked or the valve remains stiff, replace the entire AquaSoft bypass valve assembly.
