Display shows E02 and the unit does not draw brine during regeneration.

Safety first: Unplug the softener and close the inlet water valve before disassembly. Depressurize by opening a nearby soft water faucet.

• Check salt level and bridging: Open the brine tank lid. If salt has formed a hard crust (bridge) above the water, break it up with a broom handle and remove any solid chunks. Refill with clean pellet salt.
• Inspect brine line: Follow the small-diameter brine tube from the control head to the brine well. Ensure it is not kinked, pinched, or leaking. Reseat both ends.
• Clean venturi/injector assembly: On the AquaSoft control head, locate the injector/venturi housing (usually under a small cover with screws). Remove the cover and carefully pull out the injector nozzle and throat. Soak them in warm water with a little vinegar and scrub mineral deposits with a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly and reinstall in the correct orientation.
• Check brine valve movement: With the cover off, locate the brine valve plunger or piston. Manually move it (if accessible) to ensure it is not stuck. Clean any visible debris and lubricate O-rings with silicone grease approved for potable water.
• Restore water and power: Turn the inlet valve back on slowly, plug the unit in, and initiate a manual regeneration. Observe the brine draw stage to confirm that the brine level in the tank drops.
