Possible Causes
Defective turbine meter, Faulty meter cable, Incorrect meter type setting in control, Internal sensor failure on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Verify programming: Enter the AquaSoft installer menu and confirm the correct meter type and capacity are programmed according to the model label. Incorrect settings can trigger E05.
- Inspect meter assembly: Locate the metering turbine (often integrated with the outlet or side of the valve). Remove it and check for scale or debris preventing rotation. Clean thoroughly and ensure it spins freely.
- Check meter cable: Follow the cable from the meter to the control board. Look for cuts, pinches, or loose connectors. Reseat both ends.
- Test operation: Reassemble, restore power, and run water at a faucet. Watch the display for flow or usage increments. If none appear and E05 returns, the meter or control board is likely defective.
- Replace defective part: Replace the AquaSoft turbine meter assembly first. If the problem persists, replace the main control board.
