Possible Causes
Low household water pressure, Clogged inlet sediment filter, Failed pressure sensor (if equipped), Partially closed inlet valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing any covers. Water pressure may be present.
- Check household pressure: Verify that other fixtures in the home have normal pressure. If not, the issue is upstream of the softener.
- Verify inlet valve: Ensure the AquaSoft inlet valve is fully open and the bypass is in the correct position.
- Inspect pre-filter: If a sediment filter is installed before the softener, replace the cartridge if it is clogged.
- Check pressure sensor: On models with a pressure sensor, inspect the sensor body and wiring. Remove the sensor and check the sensing port for debris. Clean gently and reinstall.
- Replace sensor: If E17 persists with known-good pressure, replace the AquaSoft pressure sensor.
