Possible Causes
Cracked valve body, Worn O-rings, Loose plumbing fittings, Damaged bypass seals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately close the inlet valve and unplug the unit. Place towels or a pan to catch water.
- Identify leak source: Dry the area and observe where water reappears—around fittings, the valve seam, or bypass.
- Tighten fittings: Gently tighten any threaded connections on the inlet, outlet, and drain. Do not overtighten plastic fittings.
- Inspect O-rings and seals: If leaking at the valve seam or bypass, remove the control head or bypass assembly and inspect O-rings. Replace with AquaSoft seal kits as needed.
- Check for cracks: If the valve body or bypass housing is cracked, replace the entire AquaSoft control valve or bypass assembly.
