• Increase backwash time: Adjust AquaSoft programming to lengthen backwash duration to better flush iron from the resin.
• Use resin cleaner: Add an approved resin cleaner (for iron) to the brine well and run a manual regeneration following product instructions.
• Check backwash flow: Ensure the drain line and flow control are not restricted so full backwash flow is achieved.
• Consider pre-treatment: If raw water iron is high, install an iron filter ahead of the softener to prevent ongoing fouling.
