Possible Causes

Salt bridge in brine tank, Brine line blockage, Faulty brine valve, Regeneration not occurring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before working in the brine tank.

  • Check for salt bridge: Push a broom handle down through the salt. If you hit a hollow space before water, break up the bridge and remove hardened salt.
  • Inspect brine level: After a regeneration, the brine level should drop during brine draw. If it does not, check the brine line and injector for clogs and clean them.
  • Verify regeneration: Confirm that the AquaSoft is actually regenerating (listen for motor, check drain flow). If not, troubleshoot the control and motor.
  • Test brine valve: Remove and inspect the brine valve/piston for debris or wear. Replace if it does not open and close properly.
