Step-by-step:

• Empty tank: Scoop out as much salt and sludge as possible into buckets. Dispose of according to local regulations.
• Flush tank: Remove the brine float assembly and rinse the tank with clean water, scrubbing the sides and bottom.
• Clean float: Rinse the AquaUnique brine float assembly thoroughly to remove sludge.
• Refill with quality salt: Reinstall the float, add a few inches of water, then add high-purity solar or pellet salt to the recommended level.

When to call a technician: If internal brine fittings or the tank itself are damaged or leaking, replacement parts may be required.
