How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately place the softener in BYPASS and unplug it. Mop up standing water to prevent slip hazards. Wear gloves when handling brine.
Step-by-step:
- Check float: Remove the brine well cover and ensure the float moves freely and shuts off water when raised.
- Inspect brine line: Verify the brine line from the AquaUnique control head to the brine well is intact and firmly connected.
- Clean float assembly: Remove the float assembly and rinse off salt sludge. Ensure the air check at the bottom is not stuck open.
- Test refill stage: After reassembly, restore water and power, then manually advance to refill. Watch the water level and ensure it stops at the correct height.
When to call a technician: If water continues to enter the brine tank uncontrollably, the brine valve or control head may need replacement.
