Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and close the inlet valve if removing any lines. Wear gloves when handling salt.
Step-by-step:
- Check salt level: Ensure there is enough salt to cover the bottom of the tank by several inches.
- Observe refill: Manually start a regeneration and watch the brine refill stage. Confirm that water flows into the brine tank.
- Clean refill flow control: Shut off water and relieve pressure. Remove the brine refill flow control orifice from the AquaUnique control head and rinse out debris.
- Verify refill time: In the installer menu, confirm the brine refill time is set according to the manual for your capacity.
When to call a technician: If no water enters the brine tank despite a clean flow control and correct settings, the brine valve or control board output may be faulty.
