Safety first: Unplug the unit before working around any wired sensors in the brine tank. Wear gloves when handling salt.

Step-by-step:

• Verify actual salt level: Open the brine tank and visually confirm the salt level. Compare with what the display indicates.
• Clean sensor: If your AquaUnique model uses a salt level probe, gently remove it and wipe off salt crust and sludge with a damp cloth. Do not bend or scratch the probe.
• Check wiring: Trace the sensor cable back to the control head. Ensure connectors are fully seated and not corroded.
• Adjust settings: In the installer menu, verify salt efficiency or salt dose settings are appropriate for your resin capacity and hardness.

When to call a technician: If E12 persists and readings are clearly inaccurate, the salt level sensor or control board input may require replacement.
