BWT Perla
Regeneration Scheduling Fault
BWT Perla does not start regeneration at the programmed time
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Incorrect time or day settings, Regeneration mode set to volume-only with low consumption, External inhibit contact active, Controller in vacation or eco mode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal access is required for basic scheduling checks.
- Check current time and date: Ensure the clock is set correctly, including 24h/12h format, and that the regeneration time is in the future relative to the current time.
- Review regeneration mode: In the menu, check whether the unit is set to time-based, volume-based, or combined mode. If consumption is low, volume-based regeneration may not trigger frequently.
- Check external inhibit: If an external lock or inhibit contact is installed, verify that it is not active (e.g., building management system not blocking regeneration).
- Vacation/eco mode: Disable any vacation or eco mode that may postpone regeneration.
- Manual test: Start a manual regeneration to confirm the mechanical and hydraulic parts function correctly. If manual regeneration works, the issue is likely programming-related.
