Possible Causes
Blocked venturi injector in BWT Perla valve, Clogged brine line, Air leak at brine line connections, Defective brine valve or seal pack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the inlet valve. Ensure the brine tank is not overfilled before working on brine components.
- Check brine level: Confirm there is sufficient water in the brine tank to cover the salt grid. If the tank is completely dry, the unit cannot draw brine; investigate fill stage issues.
- Inspect brine line: Follow the small brine hose from the valve head to the brine well. Check for kinks, blockages, or cracks. Replace brittle or damaged tubing.
- Clean venturi injector: At the valve head, remove the injector housing cover. Take out the venturi nozzle and throat pieces. Soak them in warm water and gently clean with a soft brush to remove scale or salt deposits. Reassemble in the correct order.
- Check for air leaks: Ensure all brine line connections, including the brine safety valve and float assembly, are tight. Air leaks prevent proper suction.
- Test brine draw: Restore water and power, start a manual regeneration, and observe the brine level. It should slowly drop during the brine draw phase. If not, the internal brine valve or seal pack may be defective and the valve head may require replacement.
