Possible Causes

Disconnected or damaged salt level sensor cable, Contaminated brine sensor probe, Defective optical or conductivity sensor in brine well, Incorrect sensor configuration in control menu

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before handling any internal wiring or sensors.

  • Locate the sensor: Depending on the BWT Perla model, the salt/brine sensor may be an optical probe or conductivity sensor mounted in the brine well or tank wall. Remove the brine well cover to access it.
  • Inspect wiring: Follow the sensor cable to the control board. Check for cuts, pinched sections, or loose connectors. Reseat the plug on the main PCB.
  • Clean the sensor: Carefully remove the sensor from the brine well. Wipe off salt deposits and sludge with a soft cloth and warm water. Do not use abrasive tools.
  • Check configuration: In the installer menu, verify that the correct sensor type is selected (if configurable) and that salt monitoring is enabled/disabled according to the installed hardware.
  • Test operation: Reinstall the sensor, restore power, and check if the E07 code clears after a reset. If the error persists, the sensor itself may be defective and should be replaced with a BWT-compatible part.
