Water leaks from connections on the inlet, outlet, or bypass of the BWT Perla

Safety first: Close the main water supply and relieve pressure before tightening or disassembling fittings.

• Inspect unions: Check all union nuts at the inlet, outlet, and bypass. Hand-tighten, then snug slightly with a wrench without overtightening.
• Replace gaskets: If leaking persists, disassemble the union and inspect the flat gasket or O-ring. Replace with BWT-compatible seals if deformed or cracked.
• Check alignment: Ensure the connected piping is properly supported and not pulling the softener connections out of alignment.
• Inspect for freeze damage: Look for hairline cracks in plastic fittings, especially if the unit has been exposed to freezing temperatures. Replace any cracked parts.
