Possible Causes
Cracked brine tank, Loose brine well grommet, Leaking brine line connection, Overfilled brine tank due to faulty float
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power. Avoid lifting a full brine tank; remove water first if relocation is needed.
- Identify leak source: Dry the outside of the brine tank and observe where new moisture appears.
- Check brine well seal: Inspect the grommet where the brine well enters the tank bottom. Reseat or replace the grommet if it is loose or damaged.
- Inspect brine line fittings: Tighten hose clamps or push-fit connectors at the brine line entry to the tank and at the valve head.
- Check for cracks: Look for visible cracks in the tank walls or base. If the tank is cracked, it must be replaced.
- Correct overfill: If the tank is overfilled, pump out excess brine and service the brine float and fill valve to prevent recurrence.
