Possible Causes
Damaged O-ring between valve head and resin tank, Cross-threaded valve connection, Cracked tank neck, Over-tightened valve head
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Close inlet and outlet valves and relieve pressure by opening a downstream tap. Disconnect power.
- Identify leak point: Dry the area and observe where water emerges—around the tank neck, fittings, or valve body.
- Remove valve head: Unscrew the BWT valve head from the resin tank carefully. Inspect the large O-ring for cuts, flattening, or deformation.
- Replace O-ring: Install a new BWT tank O-ring, lightly lubricated with silicone grease approved for potable water.
- Inspect tank neck: Check for cracks or chips on the tank threads. If damaged, the tank may need replacement.
- Reinstall correctly: Screw the valve head on straight and hand-tighten to the specified torque; do not overtighten.
Restore water slowly and recheck for leaks. If leaking continues, consult a technician to assess tank integrity.
